Actually, it is closer to four times. When it comes to the fuel tax since Jimmy Carter that is. Yes for a fact, our fuel tax is one that all Americans pay, even the illegal Americans, a tax the Republicans keep on raising.
Fuel tax pays for our highways and much more, ever since the oil companies raised the price of gasoline to over four dollars per gallon a few years back, Americans have started driving more fuel efficient cars, leaving less money for state highway repairs, less tax money that is, the state governments are complaining about lost fuel tax money. When oil realized how bad they screwed up by opening American eyes to better mileage since raising fuel to over four dollars per gallon, they quickly lowered the price of gasoline to under two dollars per gallon, in an attempt to keep us from driving a fuel efficient car and maybe solar power. Wow? What kind of business can go from record profits at over four dollars per gallon, to under two dollars per gallon and still have no problem prospering? The oil business is the ONLY company that can. Why? Because of the Republicans.
Since Regan, our fuel tax has gone up at least three or four times, maybe even ten times, but we don’t know for sure, the Republicans hide the tax increase in America, very well. Now, most Americans pay the Trillions of dollar tax increase, not even realizing it is the largest tax increase since Jimmy Carter. It started with Regan, but the nails were well buried in the good mileage coffin by the two bush presidents. I’ll start with Regan’s part of the tax increase. So ironic, how Republicans say they don’t increase taxes, yet they are solely responsible for starting the highest tax increase in America ever!
When Regan took office, one of the first things he did was, remove the solar panels from the white house, that Jimmy Carter installed. Second, Regan took the energy credits away from solar, that Jimmy Carter gave. Regan didn’t keep these federal dollars from the solar energy credits, Regan gave these energy credits to oil instead. Why? Regan knew what solar meant to oil sales and fuel taxes. Solar is the best thing for the American majority, that we never got, thanks to Regan. When Regan took the energy credits from the newly started solar companies, newly started thanks to the energy credit dollars, ninety percent of the solar companies went bankrupt. The banks would no longer back up the loans for these businesses, with out the government energy credits to secure the banks money. Solar was great thirty years ago, great for the majority, also, a great threat to oil sales and fuel taxes. Think about it, look at the trillions of loss taxes, had we got our power from the sun, and our cars fuel came from the sun. Yes, if people got solar back then, they would have been driving free powered electric cars since then too. The amount of lost fuel tax and oil sales would be into the trillions for both. Jimmy Carter didn’t care about these trillions, but the Republicans sure did. “Thanks a lot Regan, you are solely responsible for starting today’s air and water pollution. You and oil that is.” Water pollution comes from air pollution and ninety percent of air pollution comes from oil burning mobile vehicles, from trains to planes. Oil burning because solar was squashed over thirty years ago by Republicans.
The Bush presidents are also to blame for continued pollution and a steady raise of fuel tax we get with oil burning vehicles. When Jimmy Carter left office, our auto and truck fleet, average mile per gallon, was 28 to the gallon. Now, over thirty years later when the last bush left office, our fleet average mile per gallon was under twenty! I know, I know, everyone one drives big trucks now a days to keep from dying in a snow drift, a drift they rarely see thanks to temperature rise. Although they say, global warming makes winters more intense and summers hotter, but who knows, according to the Republicans there is no such thing. A thing believers say came from the burning of oil? Maybe one day soon these oil sucking tanks we drive may really be needed for natural disasters? But what about the people who want to drive a great mileage vehicle, where did they go since the seventies? Yes, forty years ago the Volkswagen Rabbit got sixty miles to the gallon, with a wasteful carburetor. Now, with precise computer electronics and fuel injection, our cars say gas pumps hate them for getting thirty-three to the gallon, less than a year ago. Yes I seen the new car commercials, bragging about forty to the gallon. What’s the big deal, the Chrysler K car from the eighties got forty to the gallon, the mid sized K Car that is. And what happened to the Ford Lincoln that came out in 1985, that got 35 to the gallon with a diesel engine? It was taken off the market in less than two years. I wonder what oil and fuel tax had to give Ford to stop making this fuel tax and oil sales cutting BIG Lincoln? The Auto industry totally regulates how much fuel tax we pay and how much oil sales will be. Sales that reached record profits for oil companies during the Bush administrations.
I have to be fair, the Democrats are to blame for this continued tax increase as well. Clinton made sure we never got another 35 to the gallon Lincoln. Clinton changed our fuel emissions. The 35 to the gallon diesel engine puts out different emissions than a less than twenty to the gallon diesel engine. Clinton made the great mileage engine’s emissions illegal in America. Say all you want, the wasteful diesel engine does more damage to the environment than the great mileage engine, period. These same engines get over eighty to the gallon in Europe today! Why not here? You have to realize the power of oil to realize how much power over our politicians oil really has. People will do anything for money, what would oil and a government do for trillions? No president since Jimmy Carter did any president have the balls to step on oils feet or stop the fuel tax increase.
Money on a huge scale has more power than most Americans can begin to realize. But look at what history teaches us. Look what happened to President Kennedy when he started printing American notes, starting to take the Federal reserve out of business. America is the only country that doesn’t print it’s own money, Kennedy was changing that right before he died. Kennedy’s replacement Johnson’s first words when he took over the presidency was “stop the presses.” Then removed Kennedy’s American notes from circulation, it was illegal not to turn in your American notes for the old Federal Reserve money. Kennedy’s law to stop the Federal Reserve from making trillions from America’s majority is still on the books, no president to date has dared to step on the Federal Reserves foot again. Hmmm, I have to wonder, if Regan wouldn’t of stopped solar, would Carter and Regan of ended up like Kennedy? Maybe Regan is really a hero, for saving Jimmy’s life? It sure is clear, Carter aged far worse in four years than most presidents, maybe oil gave him much to worry about?
I know, all that is just to hard for most to imagine. Still, if we look at the facts, we have to realize that oil owns America and it’s politicians. I guess I can’t blame the presidents or even a single party, I blame the power of oil money, for the trillions we spend by not having solar and for the wasteful oil sucking tanks we drive, instead of free clean electric cars and no electric bill.
Yes for a fact, our cars can easily get eighty to the gallon, even our big trucks, with fuel injection and computer electronics. Our vehicles are just a computer program away from great mileage. Did you know, when an American car is sold to another country that has a higher fuel mileage standard than America, the same American cars that we drive here are getting better mileage in other countries, simply with the auto manufacturers computer program. Yes the American public has been paying a continually increased fuel tax for over thirty years now, through our cars mileage not keeping up with the times, with our air and water paying a greater price for oil sales and fuel tax. Trillions of dollars is the greatest power controlling our politicians.
So what can we do, now that we know who owns our politicians? Plenty for sure, realization was the hardest part. If you are not convinced that we are being screwed in a triangular plot by the auto industry, oil companies and the fuel tax, I have a lot of additional proof to all the subjects I mentioned. If people ever needed to protest, oil and mileage and the lack of solar, would be the greatest gift for our children and no greater cause can be protested than that. No one President or one man can stop oil, but no one can stop a united majority. Oil can’t kill us all, not if we stop what it’s doing to our earth and our bank accounts.
For additional information, an article by Arthur Allen is available, detailing what happened to solar in America, over thirty years ago. You can investigate everything I mentioned above on line. Try googling “Mileage for a train engine” you maybe surprise to learn, a diesel power/electric powered locomotive today will get 202 miles per gallon, running without pulling any additional train cars. But don’t take may word for it, Google it ok? It’s time for the majority to know and respond to the truth about oil, for our children and for our bank accounts sake.

For a party that claims they do not raise taxes, the Republicans, they in reality are the cause of the largest tax increase ever in America.

Both parties have raised taxes. However, the democrates stand for increased social spending and stronger, more intrusive government. To pay for these, over time, they tend to support higher taxes more so than do the republicans.
