Dan O'Connor is New York City's New Kind of Democrat. He supports school vouchers/tax credits for education as the solution to improve the education system for NY District 12 and other schools throughout New York City. School vouchers give power to parents and teachers while taking away power from the politicians and bureaucrats. The politicians and bureaucrats have failed for too many decades. It's time for new solutions that have proven to work in other cities throughout the country. Dan O'Connor will push forth legislation for school vouchers/tax credits after elected into office. The Best Studies Show that School Voucher Work The latest result from the official evaluation of the Washington DC program is only the latest entry in a long-line of top-quality empirical research on vouchers. Ten studies have examined the impact of vouchers using random assignment, which is the best possible scientific method. The body of evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of vouchers. No other education policy is as well supported by high-quality scientific evidence as school choice.
