Felipe Calderon has been Mexico's president since December of 2006. In that time, more than 45,000 people have died in violent acts related to organized crime. Even though he has made this one of his top priorities to fix, Mexico has progressively become more and more violent. I think of it as an outlaw country personally.
Calderon has one year left. So far, by all accounts, it seems as though he has been a failure. Do you think he can do anything to stop these cartels before he leaves office? Or, I guess the better question would be do you think any leader of Mexico will be able to do anything about this growing organized crime problem?? If so, how?
