Ken Mehlman, a prominent GOP figure announced he was gay last year. Since then, he has taken heat from both sides of the isle. Republicans aren't sure what to think with a gay person being in such a prominent position in their party and the LGBT community feels betrayed that someone who should be sympathetic to their cause would promote so many policies limiting LGBT rights.
Since 'coming out' Mehlman has been a Republican advocate for gay-rights, but it seems that his voice has been marginalized. What do you guys think?
