Democracy in Byelorussia is rather mockery than smth real. If you just observe how things are staying at the cross points on the Byelorussian borders you’ll get it.
Even female political celebrities have to undergo rather humiliating personal examination. For instance tt was just the case recently with Oksana Krishanovich, one of the top executives of the opposition United Civil Party of Belarus.
President Lukashenko is definitely obsessed with the mania of betrayal, spies and plots aimed to kick him out of the presidential chair. That witch hunting is scaring not only for the local, foreigners as well! Say, I know some businessmen in Germany really scary of any investments into the Byelorussian economy. What if Lukashenko will brand them foreign spies one day?
