I am an African American male registered voter and I am very upset that no one in the media has stepped up to express outrage that the Republican party has stated that their number one priority is to ensure that a Black man not occupy the White House.  Does anyone really doubt that their only reason is his Blackness?  It really seems that it is more than just the most important thing to them but actually the only thing!  Is it just me?  Am I missing something?  Please help me understand this or or at least gain some different perspective.

I haven't heard this news either. Please post the links to this information so we can directly call out the individuals responsible for saying this. If video exists that would be great also as we can post the links to every social media outlet and make sure everyone knows the truth. But we are going to need the links. I have been searching and so far the only such references I am finding is not from the republicans, but from democrats saying this is the goal of the republican party and frankly if that is the case it is just another ploy by the politicians to get us riled up by using lies. If true, it would make sense why they are still pushing for romney and perry when Herman Cain seems to be the person the republican people are behind the most. Remember the republican politicians are vastlty different than the republican voters just as us democratic voters have little in common with our elected officials anymore.

Far be it from me to defend the Republican Party but I understand why they are committed to getting Obama out of the White House and it has nothing to do with the fact that he is a (half) black.  It is because he is doing such a TERRIBLE job!  All the promises he made to us, that I believed in.....were broken. (I even sent the man some of my hard earned money )  I believed that he would balance the budget, make our government transparent, and end the wars!  He lied to all of us and we were fooled by that handsome face and those beautiful speeches.  When he took office "W" had run up our debt to 10 trillion!  Now it's 15 trillion ! AND  If the Republicans are so racist, how come Herman Cain is doing so well ?

I am so frustrated with people and their expectations that our country can be fixed in 4 years. We did not get to this place in 4, 10 or 20 years. We have supported congresses that have eroded banking/credit regulations since Reagan was in office, we are reaping the rewards of our complicity.  The debt is as high parttially because the bush administration kept the Iraq/Afghan wars costs separate from the budget, so the people did not see the actual cost of those wars.
I am not happy with all that Obama has done, and I do believe he could take a stronger stance on something’s, but really he is not doing that bad of a job considering the opposition, the ridiculous political prophesizing that is going on both sides, and the positively obnoxious pundits from both sides feeding the people 10 second sound bites and not providing any real information.  As far as the Republican party wanting to get a black man out of office, Boehner and others have consistently said their only goal is to get rid of Obama, yes that can be interpreted to mean that they don't want a black man in the presidential seat, but that is a long shot interpretation.  Do not know who the racism remark was directed after my post, sorry I did not finish my thought before posting. And no I didn't want bush out after 1 term, I didn't want that him in office at all. You think that makes me racist/sexist against male, white texans? I truly don't care what color/sex/religion/sexual orientation (faithful would be nice) the president is, as long as she/he does the best she/he can for the country, ethically and morally.  I prefer to make up my own mind, don't lie to me or manipulate the facts so they don't bare any resemblance to the truth and treat the public as if we not only can but DO think for ourselves.

The Republican party also tried to get rid of Clinton after one term.  Does that mean they hate white people too?  I'm sure you wanted W out after one term.  Does that mean you hate all white people??  Possibly they want the Dems out and Repubs in.  I know that's a long shot but it might be possible.  Post again when you get past YOUR personal racism.
