Coburn has proposed getting rid of some tax cuts? Is this a reach across the aisle? His proposed cuts target millionaires. If I was to over simplify it, which I will, I would say it focuses on closing tax loopholes and write-offs but for just a small niche of the super rich. Is this a step towards ending the Bush Era tax cuts or is this just a bone being thrown to quiet down the debate?

I think Coburn genuinely wants to make a real change. I watched a video of him talking about the fact that cutting 3.7 trillion won't really do the job because even without a raise on interest rates, the national debt interest alone per year is 2 trillion. Coburn's total plan calls for cutting 9 trillion in 10 years. That's by far the most I've heard from any politician.
$1 trillion is cutting tax cuts. That's in direct opposition of most all the GOP. Coburn seems to me to be on his own on this one. He also wants to drastically cut entitlement programs so it's not like his chumming up to Dems.
