It seems like both parties want to be the ones that propose the plan that solves this issue. Reids plan had many, many simularities with Boehner's but garnered support and opposition from the reverse sides of the aisle. Has stubborn politics doomed our economy? Will China bring a tow truck over and repo Washington or Oregon?

No, China won't repo Washington or Oregon...it'll be California, the one state that hey are closest to that we would most want to get rid of at this point. But...that's not gonna happen...what's gonna happen is the one thing that all of us seem to have the least control over..our congress and senate, they are what's going to happen. What's going to happen is that our "representatives" in the Congress and Senate are going to continue to fight...and that fight becomes the cause,,,and winning it becomes the goal. It's become the political version of a UFC fight between Democrats and Rebublicans...somewhere along the way they forgot why they were fighting...now each just wants to win...no matter the cost...they just want to see the other side tap-out.
