Bill O'Reilly raised concern that calling the Norway Terrorists Christians is a Media smear campaign against the Christian religion as a whole. However, he has had no qualms in repeatedly calling the 9/11 attackers Muslim. Does this he is trying to 'marginalize and diminish' the Islamic religion in the same way?

As a retired teacher of English as a Second Language I realize that language in politics is significant as Orwell pointed out and as Goebbels practiced.
We call fundamentalist Muslims "Islamists." That hissing "ist" ending is linguistically pejorative. I suggest we call the extreme Christian fundamentalists "Christianists." That addresses Ryan's concern about sullying the Christian religion. So there! How about the extremist Hindus who killed Gandhi, call them "Hinduists" and even the Buddhists in Sri Lanka who massacred Tamils, call them "Buddhaists." The extreme rabbis who want to eradicate Arabs, call them "Judaicists" with a double hiss.

I like those "ists." Extending the concept into politics, those "extremists" in the Republican Party opposing tax increases of any kind....call them "Norquists."
