International organization Transparency International trying to bring corrupted officials to broad daylight all over the world some time ago got interested in financing of political parties in Georgia.
Gathering of any info in Georgia is hampered by lack of transparency, to put it mildly. Still TI staffers managed the job to come to the conclusion far from being inspiring. Mikheil Saakashvili party United National Movement has subdued all strata of life in Georgia financial resources as well. Actually it’s the only political force able to function in the Georgia at present.
Year or so ago Georgian president promised rapid integration into European space. Now, it seems to me he has just bricked up the window to Europe with his own hands!
