Democrats want a government that works for the people, by the people and with the people. The Republicans want a very very small government and, in large part, want to make the United States a Christian Nation. This seems to me to be the great debate between Democrats and Republicans.

And, Chris Matthews has done some extensive work in trying to bring to light what he calls, "The Rise of the New Right". He tries to highlight where the new right is coming from. Claiming they want less government intervention, less government spending, no National Health Care, etc. Definitely worth checking out.

So, is he right about "The Rise of the New Right"? Or is this just the fringe of the Tea Party and more hardcore Republicans sensationalized by the mass media?

It was a piece of hack journalism from a massive hack of a polemicist AKA tingly leggs Matthews. Fuck him for trying to portray other Americans as extremists, not everyone in the far right is actively advocating for the death of Obama.
