Has anyone seen Arizona's newest crazy law, SB1188? About a week ago, Governor Brewer Signed an Anti-Gay Adoption Bill that gives priority to heterosexual couples. While this bill will not eliminate gay adoption entirely, it will mandate that all homosexual couples must sit in the back of the adoption bus.

This bill could potentially hurt single parents ability to adopt a child as well.

What are your thoughts? Should this law be abolished before it even goes into effect?

It will definitely be struck down as unconstitutional if ever gets challenged in court.  Conservatives keep expecting the courts to rule based on religious values. The courts rule by the State or US Constitution; not by moral or religious values.

Now.....I support gay rights. But let me add a dose of Kaboom "conservatism" to this discussion.

I am not against gays adopting. But I'm personally against gays reproducing, via surrogate mothers or insemination. What do you think God* put gays on this Earth for?
POPULATION CONTROL!!! Two guys or two girls cannot reproduce. And I don't think they should via modern science. So I'm personally against gays reproducing. I'm totally in favor of gay adoption as a matter of public policy.

By not having children, the gays are doing us all a favor. If Republicans were smart, they would cultivate the good graces of those who are forced to pay property taxes to pay for the schooling of the kids of heterosexuals.
...........
Now I don't think I'd be against gays donating sperm or eggs or serving as surrogate mothers to heterosexual parents. There is an excessive supply of sperm and eggs. It would make little difference in the child birth rate, if gays did not donate.
Besides, we need more Rachel Maddows in the world. And I suppose, so long as gay partners only conceive of one child in their relationship, it's still -1 for population.
And who am I to tell anyone else what to do with their own body? It's just what I think.

Point is...I think homosexuality occurs naturally. It's not deviant behavior. It's necessary behavior. They are doing us all a favor by not having reproductive sex.
And they're human beings who deserve dignity, respect, and equality.

A stable two parent mother father family is better for an adopted child than a gay or single parent family. Its right that a state should set standards for the welfare of children. Remember adoption is created in the best interest of the child not in social equality for groups that arent equal in a family context anyway. That doesnt mean that gay or single parents should be prevented from adopting. The argument is a red herring anyway because there are many more children who need families than there are parents willing to adopt. Here we see the liberal perspective clearly, they dont ask whats best for society or the child, its what makes me feel good about myself and how do I impose equality on society regardless of the effect.

Adoption is not found in the constitution its a states rights issue. States can run their programs any way they want.
