Bill Maher is a fairly controversial HBO TV pundit. He tends to bash Republicans as a whole and question Democrats ability to capitalize and lead the nation. This being a site predominately Democrat, where does everyone stand on Maher?

I like about 80% of what he has to say. I guess that's true with a lot of pundits though. Where do you stand? Has he said anything that offends you or, on the flip side, that you wish more people would talk about more seriously?

I think he's great. I agree with him at LEAST 90% of the time.

As for offending "me" ... no not that i can think of.

I think that comedy is very effective in showing just how absurd a lot of the rhetoric, spewing from the right especially, really is. I also think , hope maybe haha, that maybe, just maybe a few of his barbs against the Democrats will put a little more backbone into them.. we'll see about that I guess.

Bill Maher , Jon Stewart ,Steven Colbert we need more of these types of comedian/pundits to not only galvanize the faithful but to show the independent voting segment just how silly/corrupt/mean the religious/conservative bloc really is.

I think at the very core Maher is a liberal, though in watching his documentary Religulous most of his antireligious banter comes across as hollow, when he has admitted himself to be a theist. In combating the extreme religious right wishy washy individuals do more harm than good, and to individuals who are passionate about the left's battle against organized religion he is a fencesitter

The absurd idea that "Truth" and "enlightenment" are solely the purview of Liberals and that any opposing views are somehow worthy of demonizing-shows how low social discourse and rational thought has fallen. People like Maher, Olbermann, Maddow and all the other biased and hateful purveyors of extreme Liberalism, fail to recognize the empirical fact that Socialism and Liberalism has failed, or is in the process of failing, everywhere it has been implemented. No nation can survive that creates a parasitic citizenry that believes that all rights and privileges emanate from the government and that the government exists solely to provide them with everything they cannot, or will not, provide for themselves. That system is simply unsustainable long term, as we are finding out. It will just take our fiscal system a little longer to collapse due to its size-but it will fail. You cannot have nearly half the population paying no income taxes while the other half pays for EVERYTHING! Simply put, you cannot reward bad behavior, laziness, failure and continued bad decision making with a check from the government. The entitlement mentality that has ben created by Democrats in return for votes and political power, has resulted in them being in total control of Congress for 38 out of the last 52 years. Any rational mind would deduce from that fact that our fiscal crisis is more the responsibility of the Democratic Party than the Republicans, but in the irrational mind of Liberals, facts and results are outweighed by emotionalism and an obsession with entitlement.

Where do you stand on Bill Maher?

I begin with:

Bill Maher, is not funny!  Well not funny in the haha sense but funny looking in the funny looking sense, yes he is funny looking. Kind of like a baby that was drop at birth that ooops slipped right out of the Doctor's hands and onto that oh so dirty floor OUCHY WOWA!! He was probably picked on as a child and had no friends except for his imaginary ones of course but you know the type, like the kind of kid in Gym class that always gets picked last or gets traded all the time. Pretty sad.

With that said, I Now have a Bone to pick with Bill Maher, the big mouth that thinks and said stay at home Moms do not know what it is to work or have a job. Why he said, because they are home all day doing nothing and have no idea about waking up early to go to work at a real job and blah blah blah (para phrasing what BM said) hmmm BM, bowel movement lol no Bill Maher hehehe anyway, I think  Bill couldn't handle one month, one week or even one day staying home to raise kids. He has no clue how much work it takes and I bet he wouldn't last a day if he had to do it. No way Jose'! It is a tough, 24/7, thankless/selfless job that demands all your attention, all the time, diverse skills set and don't forget the super human abilities you will need! This is just to mention a few but the list goes on and on and on!

So I just thought of an idea for Mr Bill "dumbazz" Maher who thinks he knows everything about being a Mom and staying home to raise your kids. How bout putting your words to action and then how about I challenge you to go borrow a family that has at least 1 infant, a toddler and a school age child and don't forget the dog & cat so you can take the roll as Mr stay at home Mom (in your case, Dad) and do it for one month!! Just one month and then we will see what you have to say. Come on Bill, I dare you! I double Dare you!

Chicken-bawlk-bawlk!

But of course you will just ignore this because you know you will fail and you don't want to embarrass your bad self, right? Of course why would you want to expose your ignorance to the masses. But guess what? The masses already know that about you.

Final Note:

The sad and disturbing thing about Democrats is they are their own worst enemies and are on the verge of self destruction. They are creating in the US what they did to Detroit, not a good thing in any way, shape or form. Just chaos, corruption, conflict and hate mongering by race, class and gender. That is what the Dems in elected office are about, in a brief description of course! I would need an entire hard drive to list their rabbit hole of who they are and what they have done. Sigh, I am done for now though and will end here...

Ciao

P.S. Why don't you give me that Million dollars instead of Obama's campaign? After all it is a no win for Mr O, why waste all that cash on a no win situation when I could do something worthwhile with it? I could stock a whole lot of kitchen cabinets with all the food groups for 1000's of the unemployed American's who still can not find work because of the failed policies out of Obama's administration. Kind of weird to grease the hand that doesn't feed ya, don't you think? Just saying...

I really don't like him. His comments on Bristol Palin were WAY out of bounds. And his making fun of a young child with Downes Syndrome was the last straw. The only difference in Bill Maher and Rush Limbauch...is one is skinny and thinks he's funny and the other is fat and thinks he is smart. Both are mistaken
