"The View" goes off when they hear that Glenn Beck thinks that the earthquake in Japan was a message sent by God that we are not doing the right thing and we need to follow the Ten Commandments more closely. Here's the article/video:

Just another example of the weirdness of Beck. But people forget that he is a self-described "entertainer" and doesn't really care about the real news or facts. He has a large niche audience of the ignorant that worships him...facts be damned. And whenever media pundits on the left call attention to his outrageous mutterings, it just fuels the fire...he wants the publicity...Rupert Murdoch wants the publicity. It's all about the money.
Lawrence O'Donnell contributed to that publicity last night by giving much too much air time to Beck apparently agreeing with O'Donnell's statement from the night before that
the world will not come to an end.
To me that whole conversation was a waste of airtime.
I would much rather have had O'Donnell devote the extra time to a discussion of the budget impasse in Congress and the real issues that still might be leading to a government shutdown. Beck is a constant distraction from the real debates.
