"Japanese researchers will launch a project this year to resurrect the long-extinct mammoth by using cloning technology to bring the ancient pachyderm back to life in around five years time." See article.

Ok, so I am the only one who is a little nervous about this... cloning extinct animals may be good but I also see a plethera of bad things that can happen....viruses, the Jurassic Park senerio, etc....

Couldn't they have picked something more recently extinct?? What do you think?

this would be amazing, if they could bring this creature back to walk the earth again.as long as they refrain from T-REX. I am all for it. it would open the door to animals now in danger of extinction.besides imagine how wonderful it would be to see this great mamouth with your own eyes.
