"The University of Texas’ consideration of race and ethnicity in undergraduate admissions passes legal muster, a federal appeals court ruled today.

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, based in New Orleans, affirmed a 2009 decision by U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks of Austin, who upheld UT’s admission policy. Two white students who were denied admission had challenged the policy."

Being from Austin, Texas I was a bit appalled to find this article.

It's another instance of affirmative action.

What do you think...did the court make the right decision?
