The book "Fall to Grace: A Revolution of God, Self, and Society" by Jay Bakker seems to be causing waves in the Christian community. Though some strongly disagree, most Christians seem to agree with the view that homosexuality isn't a sin.

The book states: "The simple fact is that Old Testament references in Leviticus do treat homosexuality as a sin ... a capital offense even," Bakker writes. "But before you say, 'I told you so,' consider this: Eating shellfish, cutting your sideburns and getting tattoos were equally prohibited by ancient religious law."
...
"The truth is that the Bible endorses all sorts of attitudes and behaviors that we find unacceptable (and illegal) today and decries others that we recognize as no big deal."

Bakker also goes on to clarify that what we now read as "homosexuality" in the Bible is actually a mistranslation, and was actually meant to refer to same-sex prostitution.

Write Cathleen Falsani address the possibility of a "great gay awakening" in this article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/cathleen-falsani/the-great-gay-awakening_b_808235.html

What do you think? Will there be a large flock of Evangelical Christians to turn pro-homo in the near future?

Accepting Homosexuality by Evangelicals is nothing new just that the biogoted press likes and needs them to be the scape goats right now. I grew up Gay in an evangelical environment and only on a few occasions did I feel an outcast. I will say that I felt far more outcast amongst many other more liberal groups than in true Christian Churches. I make it a mission in life to challenge peoples views of Evangelical or any other group condemned by the press. I always ask people who are homophobic how many people do they interact with regularly that are openly gay? I ask the Christian bashes, the tea party bashers etc, the same thing. How much of your opinion is formed listening to NPR or NBC, FOX news etc?
