With all the new smaller technologies coming to the forefront... tablets and cell phones... has the age of the desktop computer and laptops passed as typewriters one did? See article.

I know that I already plan on purchasing an Ipad, to use for a business I forsee coming. If the Ipad would have come out while I was still in school I would have chosen to purchase that instead of a laptop. How about you...are you jumping on the bandwagon?

Also, are there benefits to laptops and desktops that will keep them around? Or are we watching them fade away.

Another article suggests that with the age of computers disappearing the age of creativity is disappearing too. Their reasoning is that with smaller keyboards you are less likely to sit there and type a whole essay.

I disagree, I think we are entering into an age where techonology is becoming so common place and travelable that anyone will have access and will be able to create. As with all new found technologies, it will evolve. Here we have large computers shrinking into every persons hands and being carried easily one place to another at much more affordable prices than ever before. In addition, new keyboards will appear, the ipad does have one that you can place it in and type with. Perhaps one will even see a virtual keyboard appear before to long. In addition, apps are the same as any program and will be able to do anything you want. Perhaps they are even more customizable because you can pick different apps that specialize in different things, thus allowing you tobe even more creative.

I still feel that most ideas are just lost and never remembered. Easily portable tablets will create a quick easy way to record those ideas.

What do you think, age of tablets and age of creativity? Or are tablets killing the creative ideas?
