In several incidents, there have now been packages blowup that have been mailed through the mail. See

What I want to know is... how did this even happen? I was under the impression that since the last time the mail was used to mail anthrax, that the postal service got better... Perhaps it is good that the postal service is being used less and less and we are moving on to more electronic forms for mail. After all an electronic email cannot blow up and kill people.
What do you think? Is the postal system up to the challenge of making sure people don't get blown up with their mail or die from something mailed to them?
