Focus on the Family has an interesting "Sex and Intimacy" section on their website. First of which, is "God's Design for Sex". Followed by "Understanding Your Husband's Sexual Needs."

This is crazy. Definitely not what I expected to find in the Marriage and Relationship section of a Christian website.

There are 9 pages of reasons why a wife should have sex with her husband AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

Page 3: Sex is a Physical Need
Page 4: Sex is an Emotional Need
Page 5: Sex is a Spiritual Need
Page 6: Sex is a Relational Need
Page 8: Your Husband's Sex Drive is God's Gift to YOU
etc...

... The best part is that this column is written by a woman.

Forget mens health.... For all of you Christian Couples out there with sexual issues.... Focus on the Family has an entire manual on why your woman should sleep with you!

Disclaimer: If you end up with an unwated pregnancy... these people WILL hunt you down and torture you.

Being female, I take issue with a lot of 'stuff' in the Bible about the superiority of men. Actually, to be truthful, I take issue with a lot of 'stuff' in the Bible, But, on the issue of sex and the responsibility for each gender, I take 'liberties' with a capital L.

I get absolutely furious when I see some big fat white man stand up on tv and proclaim that every woman who is pregnant has to give birth. When are the men going to take responsibility for those unwanted pregnancies? To use their 'sex drive' as something that is natual and normal, and should be honored by women, is the biggest cop-out in the book. Most of them are led around by their penises and consider that a privilege. I vote for making the men be castrated everytime they produce an unwanted pregnancy. When the woman goes in for an abortion; the man has to go in for castration.

Both of the genders know the dangers of a potent sexual act. But, only one of them is held responsible when a pregnancy occurs. Those old white men want to put the value on the works of the penis. If they think that is God's plan, they need to read the whole Bible, not just pick out the parts they like. They seem to truly believe that the power of the penis is the jewels of the earth. The Adam and Eve story is not a story about the beginning of mankind, it is a story about the dangers of the serpent (penis) over the lives of a couple when God gave man the gift of speech. A man and a woman can create a new body, but they cannot give that body Life. Life begins when an entity draws its first breath and ends when it breathes its last breath. It takes two to make a new body, but that body is only one entity. God gives it Life. God gave dual physical participation to that creation for a reason. He also gave dual responsibility. One carries the body; the other supports. Money was never the issue. It was the duality that mattered. If that isn't there, then the woman has the right to consider the pregnancy null and void. It's the laws of nature. Old white men; be damned.

Which bible Woman you are talking about... If talking about Adam's first Wife... Lilith who was created equal and defied Adam. Or Eve, his second wife which was created from Adam and was designed to more "submissive"

Come to think of it.. .this is sort of funny, because even God couldn't figure out the women and had to try twice!

I liked "covolted", sowerby. I think it applies to the 'ignition' of sex in this country, much more than "convuluted" ever could. Sex is an electrifying act that is subject to processes with unknowing consequences. But, it is an 'act' at one time, with one person, that has its own power. It can be good and lead to positive effects on two people, or it can be very bad with results that devastate two people for the rest of their lives. But, the one constant is that each act is always two people. It is never, ever just a passing current into the world of the unknown where one person is responsible and the other is just an innocent victim.

That isn't an entirely accurate statement though is it. Though Rape is an act of aggression and power, it is an act of Sexual Aggression; thus there is in fact an innocent victim. In truth there are many instances where a sexual act has a responsible party and a innocent victim. I think we have to be careful that we don't fall into the trap of narrowing the field of what sex is and is not. There is voluntary sexual relationships between consenting a adults, whether married or unmarried. Then there are sexual relationships that are coerced between two people where one may or may not be capable of giving informed consent due to temporary incapacity (drugs or alcohol) or permanent incapacity (e.g. retardation). There are sexual relationship between an adult and child where by their very nature only one party is capable of consent. The list goes on, but the fact remains there are a multitude of sexual relationships where there is in fact an innocent victim.

We should never fall into the trap of allowing ourselves to become complacent.

This is a gross mistranslation of this verse. It does not say submit, the Greek word used is support, as in an architectural column.

The Bible does not claim that men are superior. This is the misinterpretation of men. It claims that men and women are equal in Christ Jesus. Don't blame the Bible for what men do.

To say that "these people will hunt you down and torture you" is so hateful. This is not allowed by the Bible. It commands Christians to forgive. That is why Christ died, so we could be forgiven. If someone does this clearly it is not a Christian act. Try to deal maturely with your resentments and hate. Venting on a web site will not help you.
