So, I just found out that Glenn Beck is a Mormon. I knew that he was religious, but not specifically Mormon. His extremism is starting to make a little bit more sense to me. Did everyone else know this? Does this shine any light on his conspiracy theories and rants, taking into account that he belongs to one of the more strict, solely American religions?

I thought everyone knew Glenn Beck was Mormon. He was not born one though. Honestly I don't know how any intelligent person could convert to Mormonism considering some of the things they believe. I don't mean to offend anyone, but that is my opinion. I have done, much much research on it and it's founder Joseph Smith. There is no way I would ever become one, as many of the things they believe are just too nutty to me. There has been no hisotrical or archeological evidence for much of the things they claim to be true. The only thing worse to me is Scientology, but having said that, I have far more respecct for Mormons than Scientologists. Having said what I have, Mormons are indeed Christians whether you agree with them or not. What I find so hypocritical about Glenn Beck is how incredibly unChristian he is. All Christians believe in the teachings of the Bible, yet the things Beck says are often so incredibly against the teachings of Jesus it is laughable. He is a very poor representative of Mormonism and Christianity in general. The man is a megalomaniac, very ignorant, and just plain off his rocker. The very fact that he has so many fans and followers just goes to show what terrible shape this country is in. Stupidity has become a virtue here. No wonder the world laughs at us.
