Appearing with Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet in a 27-minute showdown on "Meet the Press," Buck responded to a question from host David Gregory by saying he believed homosexuality was a choice but had limited biological influences "like alcoholism and some other things."

At best, that's an opinion. He's basicially saying that someone can definitely and always chose, but some people are more predisposed to the idea than others. How would he know? He's pandering to his base like you said, nothing else.
