Meg Whitman has stated that if she is elected as governor, she will defend prop 8 in California.

Is this a legit promise, or just a way to win voters? Could she actually do anything for prop 8?

The appeal is already scheduled for December 6th. They should make their decision before a new governor is in place...

Also, this report states that over half of California residents are pro-gay marriage. Is her campaign strategy actually going to work?
