It seems like both Dems and Reps have taken up arms against Joe Barton over his apology to to BP and his following apology for his apology. Repuplicans have threatened to take away Barton's seniority and may force him to resign from the energy committee. Dems, of course, have started saying that Barton is in the oil company's pocket.

With both sides talking negative about Barton, I wonder if Barton's days are finally numbered, or will the GOP return to backing him before the Nov elections? Do you think that keeping Barton's name in the media is going to me necessary to taking the Texan house seat?
