Newsweek has as its cover this week
a picture of "Saint Sarah"
with a halo and clasping her hands in prayer. I haven't read the article yet, but I have to admit I am getting sick and tired of the way the media go "gah gah" over Sarah Palin, whether its an appearance at a tea party event or a tweet.
For anyone that has done their homework on Sarah Palin, she would be the most unqulified person for president in history, yet the media have taken on a "paparazzi like" infatuation with her, both positive and negative. Nevertheless, it is a win-win for both Sarah and the media. She gets rich sellling the idea that she just might run for president, and the media get the ratings because conservatives love her and liberals love to hate her...but they both tune in.
Will anyone buy Newsweek this week because of the cover?

As if things couldn't get more absurd, now there seems to be breaking updates on whether or not Palin has recently had breast implants. Sex sells and what better to report on than the GOP's favorite pinup girl and her boobs.

It seems as if Newsweek, like many newspapers and magazines, is having financial difficulty. This combination of Sarah Palin and religion is something that's flashy and will catch readers attention. I would not be surpised to see many other old "newsworthy" and magazines pull more stunts like this, after all they are fighting for survival. I would rather see news be news again. Where is all the actual non-bias news that tells many sides and is actually educational?
From the
article
. "To millions of women, Palin’s authenticity makes her a sister in arms—“Sisters!” she called out in Washington, as if at a revival—a beautiful, fearless, principled fighter who shares their struggles. To a smaller number, she is a prophet, ordained by God for a special role in the cosmic battle against the forces of evil. A 2009 profile in the Christian magazine Charisma compared Palin to the Old Testament’s Queen Esther, who saved her people, in this case the Jews, from annihilation."
Then the article talks about how people Palin supported in the recent election were elected.
