I live in Massachusetts, one of the states that has decriminalized marijuana. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decriminalization_of_non-medical_cannabis_in_the_United_States
for a history or non-medical decrimilization in the US.
The main arguments touted all over the media at the time of enactment was that police and ADA's and people were worried that the decriminialization would allow people to smoke everywhere and that it would just become a nusiance. Well guess what, that view has disappeared. Since the decriminalization there really hasn't been much of a change except for less people in jail and less time on the ADA's backs.
Now we have a bill to legalize and tax marijuana in the senate and house and I'm glad to see it.
What are your thoughts...Should marijuna be legalized, regulated, and taxed?
Should it be only for medical use?
Or should it stay criminalized?
