Bashir, the first sitting leader to be indicted for war crimes by the ICC and as such, the South African Government has stated that they will arrest him if he shows up in South Africa for the FIFA World Cup. See http://www.thezimbabwean.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=31493:sa-vows-to-arrest-bashir-&catid=72:thursday-issue.

Bashir was indicted with crimes against humanity that were done during the Dafur Conflict. The crimes mass murder and rape. The ICC estimates that resulted in the deaths of 300 000 people and displaced 2.7 million. See http://www.mmegi.bw/index.php?sid=11&aid=2736&dir=2010/June/Thursday3

Do you think that South Africa will follow through and arrest Bashir if he shows up for FIFA World Cup?
