Wow! There is an affirmative action challenge in South Africa, because a white man who was the best candidate was turned down for a prision job. Does it bug anyone that there is affirmative action in prisions in other countries? Also, while I believe that affirmative action should be long over, as it seems to be causing more harm than good, what do you all think? Are there any areas where we should have affirmative action? Such as prisions?

I am against affirmitive action, and feel like we have reached a point where we don't need it. Some areas still need some sort of affirmitive action, but the U.S. is not one of them. I do know that South Africa has recently had many racial conflicts and it may still need such acts. I am not really familar with the political climate of South Africa at present.
