One of Sarah Palin's Tea Party speaking contracts was found and leaked by a coupld of dumpster diving student activists.  If you want Palin to speak at an event, you need to have $100,000, pre-screened questions only, Lear jet or first class air transportation and "bendy straws."

Aside from the pre-screened questions, which I think no respectable journalist should ever agree to, I do not have an issue with these requests. Sarah Palin can bring the in crowds and draw media attention, and is an effective paid entertainer. What gets me is that the Tea Party has been employing Palin as more of a policy promoter instead of an entertainer. Multiple people on this site have stated that Palin does not represent their beliefs and more than likely, does not represent the ideas of the right at all.  If this is the case, why is Palin constantly being pushed forward by the Tea Party an other conservatives?

Because she is popular and polarizing.  And, she draws media attention.  The Tea Party needs Fox News to keep plugging their rallies and keep them in the lime light.  They want Palin, regardless of her beliefs.
