So what does everyone think about China whining about this again? On one hand, China is a major international force and a vital part of our economy. On the other hand, they are guilty of major human rights violations especially in Tibet.

Choosing between China and the Dalai Lama is tough. On one hand you have the Chinese government and the human rights violations in Tibet and on the other hand, you have the Dalai Lama's regime who were guilty of exploitation and torture that includes eye gouging, disembowlment and tongue removal. If I had to pick between the two evils, I would probably have to side with maintaining trade relations China. The standard of living for the serfs and peasants that were under the Lama's regime before 1959 has at least slightly improved, but its not a choice I would enjoy making.
