So what does everyone think about Rick Perry's strategy to appeal to the right wing base with talk of Texas secession? I am of the belief this is a purposeful campaign to take advantage of the easily manipulable right wing in Texas. What does everyone else think?

Is this a sound and purpsoeful strategy for the 2012 governorship? Or is Rick Perry really this much of an irrational extremist?
