It seems to me the NRA is more of a Republican political organization than a group that stands for gun owners rights. I see a group that lies, distorts, smears and spreads fear that Democrats are going to take away your guns for political reasons as well as to make more money for gun manufacturers (note the irrational rise in gun & ammo sales since Obama took office).

What is everyone's thoughts?
