Sarah Palin cited state business as a reason for not accepting the keynote speaker position at a prominent GOP fundraiser in June. Now at a critical time when the Legilature needs her interaction and guidnace on the budget and stimulus package, she chooses to attend the the Vanderburgh County Right to Life dinner in Evansville, Ind., and a breakfast the following day with members of S.M.I.L.E., a nonprofit support organization for people with family members who have Down syndrome.
So how does her attendance at these functions benefit Alaskans? Is it more important than reaching a consensus with the Legislature on the budget and stimulus funds. Will she return and do a last minute veto without any discussion?
