Robert Fisk addresses the question of America's support for Israel at a time when Israel is shifting even further to the right. Bibi Netanyahu has made his position clear -- no Palestinian state.  As Fisk points out, "Americans will find it hard to dress up a new Netanyahu government as further "progress" in the Middle East "peace process".

The ball is in Obama's court.  Will he yield to the power of the Israel Lobby in the next year?  My guess is yes. No progress on an independent Palestinian state...only lip service as usual.
