Based on what I'm reading in this thread democrats appear to be "Glass Half empty people", the moment they see a cloud in the sky they concede, packup, and go home because that single rain cloud is the beginning of the end of everything.... Its that type of losing attitude that sees failure in everything. They could be winning, and they will find something wrong, and quit.

Person1: WOW, you just won 250 million the lottery. You're set for life.

Democrat: Doesn't matter. Last week the lotto was 500 million. If I had won last week I could have afford to do All the things I wanted to do all my life. This week, I only get to do half as much. Think of all the things I won't be able to do with only 250 million. Only 5 yachts, instead of 10. only a lear jet instead of Boeing 747.

wwjd, Are you saying that people should be grateful for low paying jobs?

Anyway the subject was "loosing the mid terms"; I don't see the connection related to "low paying jobs". I guess the mid-term elections are more related to local issues, which are different in each State. Especially the industry or farmer related issues which Trump is now ruining with his trade wars, as well the effect of the Trump's "chaos" related to "norms" and decency.

"don't see the connection related to "low paying jobs". "

The Democratic party has no message to win votes. Right now the party is running on Trump losing. The longer they let him go without challenging him the better the chances are for Trump and the Republicans winning. Right now he has solid numbers and building.

Dutch, Here is a poignant example of the reason to concentrate on high paying jobs: "Under Scott, Florida's job creation far outpaced the rest of the nation, while wages were below-average and poverty rates were above-average." The biggest problem and the path to victory is essentially ignored in the DNC platform. Probably because it would alienate Wall Street to make the changes necessary to raise the standard of living .

And all that has to be done is create new good paying jobs.
