Lately it is dead quiet on the site; does everyone have an hangover or has the flu?? While political scene is heating up, I had expected a lot more action on the site, especially while they carted Miller out of the CNN studio.

Wake up democrats we need finally a "backbone" in the party, but it looks like the party has also an hangover. Dead quiet as well. At least I hope they won't give Trump his "wall"

Well, the Democratic Party should stand for and be fighting for the improvement of conditions for the working class. This is the same mehanism in reverse as trickle down from the republicans. The only difference is building from the bottom would help everybody. But it appears to be distant and distasteful to help the lower classes the same way aid is given to the upper classes. Helping the lower classes by directing money to jobs producing ventures would help everybody. So that is why it is so quiet. Nobody talks about the root problem.

Yes Chet I agree with you; our tax money is spent the wrong way; I said that all along.

How do they get away with such glaring transgressions ? Incrementalist offer stability in exchange for disruption. Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country resonates with the people most needing help. Helps them understand how they play a part in trickle down economics.

In the part of the country where I live (Washington state), its pretty clear the public at large are very angry with trump, and maybe even more angry with the Republican national party for not pushing back on him on important issues that, if trump had not been elected, they would not have tolerated in other elected republicans.

Republicans here don't dare endorse trump because they will be primaried by moderate republicans in the state. The only way republicans get elected here is to be moderate conservatives that progressive swing voters feel comfortable voting for.

In washington state, what is at risk for republicans is that they will be entirely wiped out at all levels, and it is all because of trump. Voters here very much want to let the republican party know they hold republicans responsible for trump's actions, and that likely will result in punishing local republicans that hate trump just as much as democrats. Here, trump republicans are viewed like being members of the Nazi Party, or KKK, etc; they have no chance in hell at being elected within the state of Washington.

This site is something that I enjoy very much. Sometimes I think it's on life support. Too little activity and traffic makes it seem like it's just hanging on. I enjoy it many times but it seems like it's a priority to few.

Well TJ, To liven up the site and awaken the sleeping giant while setting a model for the entire world to follow for prosperity into peace the next Democratic Presidential Candidate should be a confirmed single issue economy reforming candidate. Basing earnings as the sole and only function of the economy. Reward jobs producing investments and penalize money stagnating investing and trades. Entrepreneurs would create products that would generate sales needing more labor that would spend more money creating more markets. Instead of stealing jobs from other countries jobs would be created. That was how the system used to work until they legalized making millions of dollars in millionths of seconds. An economy is trading goods and services. Money is for facilitating trading goods and services. Plain and simple. Make something to sell. Dont entertain or talk about any other issue than putting money to work. In the worst of situations that would be giving people a reason to live. Rush Limbaugh said it best when he said he just can't see giving people money for not working.

Yes Tony; I would think in an mid term election period the Dem's as well people on the site would come out of hibernation. Thus not; only the few "oldies". Exiting for sure! No flame, no energy, no backbone.

Dutch, We seem to be overlooking something in the economy. I see more people in more intersections asking for help than I have ever seen in my life. People still die daily because they cant afford treatment even if they have health I surance. Just as obvious is the silence from the Democratic Party about these issues. The money is there to take care of everybody without hurting or burdening the upper class but all I hear is silence.

Yes Chet, I fully agree with you; The "play" here is only "upper class sound bars" .The Democratic Party has no backbone, let alone an clear "program" or "message". It is dead quiet; I would think because of the "mid-term" elections they would become energetic; thus not. What are they "selling" to the lower classes to convince them they are on their side? Most of them (lower uneducated classes) still see Drumpf as their "god" sent "savior", especially in the "rust belt, bible belt, coal belt". Evangelicals are the most difficult group to convince to change their voting habits.
