Facts: Hillary spent 1.2 Billion Dollars. Trump is the most offensive candidate judged initially to be easily defeated. Hillary lost by 120,000 votes in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Hillary under campaigned in those states, especially in Michigan and Wisconsin.

The above facts are the main reasons Hillary lost and could have been easily changed by shifting campaign spending and attention. jaredsxtn lays blame on Trump's appeal to socially negative supporters, Bernie and Green Party Rebels. Those votes could not have been easily changed. Valid points but no way to have changed those voter's minds. Point being a change not in policy but campaign tactics could have gotten more votes in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. An easy but overlooked fix. There is no easy way to have rectified jaredsxtn's reason for Hillary's loss. Winning the next election will depend on getting more people to vote and to vote Democratic. Votes cast in 2016 will probably be cast the same in 2020 unless there is a policy change.

Fact: The people overwhelmingly voted for Clinton to be our President by 2,864,974 votes.

Fact: The electoral college gives states with predominately older and whiter populations the ability to overrule the will of the American people.

Fact: Twelve percent of Bernie supporters voted for Trump; more than enough to give Donald the win.

Fact: 47,915 Bernie voters voted for Donald in Michigan. Donald won Michigan by 10,704.

Fact: 117,100 Bernie voters voted for Donald in Pennsylvania. Donald won Pennsylvania by 44,292.

Fact: 51,317 Bernie votes voted for Donald in Wisconsin. Donald won Wisconsin by 22,748.

Fact: 77,744 is less than 120,000.

Fact: If Bernie or bust assholes in those three states simply stayed home in November then Donald would not be President.

Fact: Bernie or bust assholes handed the Presidency to Donald Trump.

I was just going to ask why Bernie lost until you came along and posted a good answer.

In any case, I just couldn't resist.

Chet will find a way to shit on Hillary and praise Bernie in every single thread regardless of the topic at hand.

I have a feeling we could be talking about how to eradicate AIDS and he'll somehow figure out a way to blame the Clinton's for perpetuating a vast conspiracy to keep AIDS alive because then more people will donate to their organization.

The reason I posted this was to show there is no solution according to jaredsxtn. Unless you admit Hillary messed up and try to fix the mistakes there is no hope for 2020. Continually insulting and demeaning is not the way to success. There has to be a change recognizing and addressing problems.

"Fact: If Bernie or bust assholes in those three states simply stayed home in November then Donald would not be President."

And 1.2 billion dollars was wasted because of 77,744 votes. Wasted. Do you not see how stupid it was to spend 1.2 billion dollars and ignore 77,744 votes. Could have been such an easy fix.

Thanks, I knew you would come up with the correct figure. 77,744.

Hillary could have bowed down to Bernie and praised him for being the reincarnation of Jesus Christ and his supporters still wouldn't have voted for her.

People like you are why Donald is our President. You may never admit or accept it, but Bernie or bust assholes handed the presidency to Donald.

"Chet will find a way to shit on Hillary and praise Bernie in every single thread regardless of the topic at hand."

First of all because it is that important to the welfare of the country.

But additionally jaredsxtn has pointed out that 77,744 votes cost Hillary the presidency. That needs to be recognized and changes have to be made to ensure it doesn't happen again. That is why I started this thread. To bring attention to how narrowly and easily the election was lost. Due to stubborn know it all staff that ignored the DNC and instead of campaigning in Wisconsin and Michigan and more in Pennsylvania they lost the election. Changes have to be made to recognize the constituency and to think logically. Stop reinforcing false notions and start working logically and objectively. Trump has his solid base and deserters. That won't change. Those people will never vote for anybody except Trump, no matter what!! Wasting time and energy pointing out the error of their ways is simply that, a waste of time. A positive attitude asking for help and support needs to characterize the party. Not holier than thou diatribes. The Democratic Party needs to become again the Party of the Working Person. Asking for and promising help.

77,744 votes lost the election because of stubborn no it all staffers and advisors more interested in playing with 1.2 billion dollars instead of ensuring an election victory. No excuse.

Blame anyone. Blame everyone. Donna Brazile or Hillary Clinton... The party was / is out of touch with far too much of the country. It's not changing. Now the repeated suggestions of her being the candidate in 2020. I will not vote for her again. I know that without question. We will see if they get closer in 2024.

I have some advice for Clinton or Sanders voters, come to grips with the stats, understand what they mean, and get over it.

I would like to take this opportunity to advise Clinton and Sanders NOT to run again, instead, stop blaming others for your losses, and get behind ONE democrat nominee that most all democrat, republican and independent voters will like. Stop looking back in the rearview mirror and look ahead.

You get the message. Now we have to build on that. Let's propose a candidate that can win and build support. I myself cannot pick a candidate because I am not up on who's who. But I can tell you who the candidate has to be. Somebody that is willing to fight wall street for control of money and somebody that believes everybody has a right to a safe happy life. Not just a percentage of people are entightled. No reason in this world to suffer pollution and poverty.

Presently, my favorite D candidate for 2020 would be Sherrod Brown of Ohio. That I know of, he has no skeletons in his closet, no adverse scandals under his belt. But, would he run? I'd like to see him give it a shot because his past voting history shows he voted with republicans and independents on some issues, which some democrats may not have liked. But, if that's what it takes to get our government to govern again, I'm all for it.

She lost because Russia interfered and the Trump crime family worked closely with them to disrupt and damage our country. She won . But the election was rigged. There as nothing she could do about that. We are learning now , that many others wee involved . Facebook now admits they worked closely with the Russians to spread false information damaging to Clinton. That is a crime. Google was involved too along with Twitter. All of these corporations worked with Russian intelligence to elect the fat idiot. Then when the fat idiot took office he appointed his family who all lied to congress , Jeff sessions a notorious bigot, who lied to congress. A general , Flynn, who lied to congress. Now we have the entire leadership of the Republican party aligned with Russia against the American people.

I did not vote for Hillary . I voted for Gary Johnson. I voted for Obama ,instead of Hillary eight years ago too.
