Chet Ruminski Wrote: "His mission is based on one thing only: hate for Obama." I would extend that to include people that are not totally self sufficient. Trump cannot conceive of people actually needing help. Based on his way of thinking never deprived of anything a person like him would only have negative opinions about financially stressed people. He considers them to be worthless. His health care ideas would have low income people dying and suffering needlessly and the suffering would continue up the income scale proportional to incomes.
Chet don't worry; Trump has Rasputin as doctor, so what could go wrong?

I very much agree with the last few comments. People want to buy reasonably priced healthcare. The difference between us versus Canada, The UK, Europe, Australia, and every other developed country needs to be addressed. How does the "World" get around the Insurance industry, Pharma industry, Hospital and healthcare providers. Here it seems like tbe lobbying protects profit and that kills affordable attempts.

I don't know how this gap can be addressed and perhaps one day we can get closer to the success Canada has achieved.

Trump complimented Australia on their great health care system and without missing a beat demands action on his inhumane anti healthcare bill. He promised health insurance for everybody .

T.J. it is quite simple but our Constitution stands in the way; in Europe/Canada etc. the government can demand certain pricing/rules because laws there forbid lobbying with the government. Here you can't stop the corruption it is built into the system and no one wants to change our capitalistic system. An parlementary system is totally different then what we've got.

CNN just said 50 Republicans are on board. 2 oppose. Sounds like they may get a major (TAX CUT for the wealthy) piece passed. The weekend to hear voters bitch might have an effect.

Oh, pass a horse shit bill before going on an August recess? If the bill really stinks, expect lawmakers to hide from voters while on vacation. Speaker Ryan has already informed Wisconsin media he won't be holding any public meetings in the state because he wants to avoid shouting matches, because he knows how angry constituents can get, I knew he was a weiner. What's he afraid of?

If you don't want a shouting match, don't give people reasons to shout.

Yes it did not pass and is now in limbo land. But Trump as well asshole McConnell want to now only do the "dump" the Obama care and maybe later on find something (somewhere?) to replace it. Wonderful; "party" (and "winning") will go above the people who voted for them, who will be then be without healthcare. (about 35 million people)

If the Dem's offer to help them, that would be an huge mistake, because as soon as the Dem's fix it, they will get the knife in their backs and the GOP enjoys the credit for it.

So I wonder what will be next on the agenda; I wonder if the "rich" still get their "well deserved" tax cuts. Wow what a country; be patriotic and proud of it ; hang your flag half mast.

Yes, McConnell just went to the floor of the Senate to announce a new tactic. Repeal Obamacare entirely and replace with a new bill with a yet to be negotiated replacement that would be "transitioned in" during the next two years. His new bill is similar to the one that both the House and Senate voted on in late 2015 (Restoring Americans' Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act) and President Obama vetoed. McConnell says that this time around we have Trump to sign and not veto.

This is breaking news...see where it goes.

Huffington Post: Mitch McConnell Says Senate Will Vote To Repeal Obamacare And Replace It Later

“The answer he came up with and then articulated in a 90-word written statement was essentially a dare,” the Washington Post’s Sean Sullivan wrote. “McConnell practically challenged conservative critics of the bill to vote against moving the process ahead. How? By publicly dangling in front of them what they have said they wanted if the current effort falls apart: a so-called clean repeal of the law known as Obamacare, with a two-year delay to come up with a replacement.”

“The GOP leader is going to force his caucus to go on the record on health care,” Politico’s Burgess Everett and Jennifer Haberkorn wrote.

McConnell is ruthless even in dealing with members of his own party. Like Trump, he doesn't give a damn what's in the bill or how Americans might be hurt. He is driven by same obsession driving Trump...to erase Obama's legacy.

The "fun" is just starting; I hope the Dem's are awake on this one!! They presented the budget, which of course is CUTTING Medicaid as well food stamps and of course Planned Parenthood. etc. as well an lot of social programs. Thus wake up America, regardless of the "Trump care" failure they will kill ACA healthcare via the budget avenue. I've never seen such a bunch of total filth as the GOP. Keep voting on them, brainless idiots!!
