It's been a productive couple of years for marijuana consumers and supporters. From 2010 to present, the following states have approved the medical usage of marijuana:

Arizona - Passed in 2010, 2.5 ounce of possession
DC - Passed in 2010, 2.0 ounce of possession
New Jersey - Passed in 2010, 2.0 ounce of possession
    Delaware - Passed in 2011, 6.0 ounce
Connecticut - Passed in 2012, One month supply (no exact amount det.)
Massachusetts - Passed in 2012, 60 day supply
Illinois - Passed in 2013, 2.5 ounce per 14 days
New Hampshire - Passed in 2013, 2.0 ounce per 10 days
Maryland - Passed in 2014, 30 day supply (no exact amount det.)
    Minnesota - Passed in 2014, 30 day supply (non-smokable)

With that being said, there are a bunch of happy states filled with extremely happy people. Usually 4th of July is known for getting together at a local fire station or ballpark and watch fireworks all night. What will happen this year? Any different than the last? I wonder if joints and mari filled treats will replace the mass amounts of beer drinking this year. No doubt I would expect the auto accidents, firework accidents, and death toll would be much lower than that of a drunken holiday (I believe) if that was the case. I fully support the legalization of marijuana both medicinal and non-medicinal. Although I do not use it my self in any form, I have seen it help numerous people in a vast of situations. Now for this July 4th, I think there will be many, many, many celebrations including allot of amazing lights in the sky and a funny smell flowing through the air.

What do you think? Should marijuana be allowed at public holiday festivals like this? Or not at at all.

This link shows a party at the 'Speak Easy Vape Lounge' in Colorado Springs. The party will be held on July 4th with a MASSIVE pinata filled with bud and pot-infused edibles!

As I live in Colorado Springs, I suppose I should be more aware of this. I'll stay away. Colorado Springs has opted out of selling recreational marijuana but it's only a short drive to Denver. And Manitou Springs next door has approved sales which should start later this summer. The revenue that pot tourists will bring in is too tempting.

Not much to celebrate in my opinion - hang our heads in shame is more like it (with nothing in hand)!

Ah, I wish. And, I'd share it with my dog who is terrified by the a-holes in the neighborhood who shoot off firecrackers and the county that shoots off fireworks in a park 10 miles from my house. Ah, weed for me and my dog sounds like a great option :)

Which Independence Day are we supposed to be celebrating, the one that began on 06/30/2017, 07/01/2017, 07/02/2017, 07/03/2017 or today's?

I've had just about enough of fireworks because people began fireworks on the 30th. of June this year, my poor dog is climbing the fricken' walls, I have to hold him tight every night since the 30th., this shit is taken ridiculously too far. One day would have been enough.

Now, let me see, there's gotta' be a sale somewhere on something. A 4th. of July sale.

Go ahead, light your joints if you have them, it'll be much quieter than lighting shit that goes boom.

What is there to celebrate anyway? It is more like "cry" day with the present asshole in the White House. I guess the fireworks is more an reaction on the frustration in this country as well the army "robots" and NRA lovers who love the sound of that.
