Glenn Beck falsely suggested that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are changing their lending rules so that they may "lower the mortgage so you don't have to worry about being upside-down," which Beck claimed represents "the intentional destruction of our country." In fact, Beck's suggestion is based on "rumors" that the Obama administration is considering allowing Fannie and Freddie to make this change, and the Treasury Department has flatly denied these "rumors."
