It is time for American Jews to demand that Obama instruct Israel to obey international law.

The bodies of two more Palestinians, whom the Israeli navy shot dead at sea, washed up on the Gaza Strip's shore Tuesday, bringing the death toll from the incident to six.

President Obama is scheduled to meet Wednesday with the head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, in a White House session whose mission has changed in the past week. Once viewed primarily as a presidential push to turn indirect Israeli-Palestinian talks into direct peace negotiations, the meeting will now focus on how best to contain the fallout from Israel's deadly raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla last week.

Israel hostilities have caused the rift in its international relations to expand further.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz notes that Netanyahu, in his speech to AIPAC, "repeated a mantra that has defined his thinking throughout his adult life...that hatred of radical Islam for Israel has nothing to do with what Israel does, but stems from the fact that Israel is the West's outpost in the Middle East.
