Florida Gov. Rick Scott's chief of staff has abruptly resigned amid news stories examining his job performance and handling of contracts. The Associated Press recently reported that while working for the state Senate, MacNamara helped steer a $360,000 no-bid consulting contract to a friend who now leads a task force rooting out state government waste.

An old high school classmate of Mitt Romney's has come forth expressing concern over some troubling bullying that Romney was a part of in High School. John Lauber, a soft-spoken new student one year behind Romney, was perpetually teased for his nonconformity and presumed homosexuality. Romney, with a few friends attacked Lauber, tackling and pinning him then proceeded to cut off his hair.

The Senate campaign of Florida Republican Marco Rubio has agreed to pay an $8,000 fine for accepting slightly more than $210,000 in improper contributions.

An audio recording has surfaced of an Arizona sheriff playing his refusal to cooperate in a racial profiling investigation for laughs at a fundraiser for an anti-illegal immigration group in Texas. Arpaio continued to taunt his critics by saying his squads went out and arrested 500 illegals out of spite.

The Gingrich campaign hit an embarrassing snag when the check that was used to pay the $500 filing fee for the Utah Primary bounced. The Director of Elections in Utah says that he has never seen a check bounce from a campaign of a national office.
