Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has ordered an official review of Edith Jones, a conservative Federal Judge on the US Court of Appeals. Ms. Jones has been accused of saying that certain racial minorities are predisposed commit "heinous" acts, and that claims of mental retardation disgust her, among a host of other insensitive comments. The review will be handled by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.

Arizona Republican Senator Jeff Flake has found has found himself in an unfortunate position after his son posted numerous anti-semantic, racist, and homophobic rants on Twitter and YouTube. After having his bike stolen, Tanner Flakes took to Twitter to express his displeasure in a colorful way. Subsequent investigation into his YouTube postings have shown that this is not an isolated incident. Senator Flake has issued an apology and has called his son's language unacceptable.

Rick Renzi, a former US Congressman from Arizona, was found guilty of 17 felony charges in his federal corruption trial. Mr. Renzi was accused of embezzling money from his insurance brokerage firm and funneling the cash to his election campaign, and of extortion in connection with a proposed federal land exchange in an ore-rich area of Arizona. Mr. Renzi is free on bail until his sentencing hearing on August 19th.

This comes on the heels of the release of a Heritage Foundation study Mr. Richwine co-authored that asserts the cost of immigration reform will be upwards of 6.3 Trillion.

The Drudge Report is finding itself in an embarrassing situation after posting a photo of New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg eating pizza and claiming that he was denied a second piece at a restaurant. The Post published and then refused to correct a death toll as high as twelve, when in fact it is currently at three. The Post also published that a Saudi man was taken into custody, when in fact he was injured in the blast and the police questioned him and decided that he was not responsible.

Debbie Brown, the Chair of the Alaska Republican Party, was removed from her post after the executive committee voted for her ouster and replaced her with retired Army Colonel Peter Goldberg. Ms. Brown has refused to accept her removal and claims that she is still the Chair, regardless of "shenanigans" by the executive committee. This is the second time this year that the Alaska GOP has had their chair removed, with fellow Tea Party ally Russ Millette was also voted out.

Al Gerhart, the co-founder of Sooner Tea Party, was charged with blackmail and violation of Oklahoma’s computer crime act after he allegedly sent a threat filled email to state Sen. Cliff Branan regarding his desire to see Mr. Branan bring up the UN Agenda 21 plan for a debate. Mr. Gerhart allegedly threatened Mr. Branan by stating he better bring up the bill for a debate "or I will make sure you regret not doing it."
