Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has ordered an official review of Edith Jones, a conservative Federal Judge on the US Court of Appeals. Ms. Jones has been accused of saying that certain racial minorities are predisposed commit "heinous" acts, and that claims of mental retardation disgust her, among a host of other insensitive comments. The review will be handled by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.

Arizona Republican Senator Jeff Flake has found has found himself in an unfortunate position after his son posted numerous anti-semantic, racist, and homophobic rants on Twitter and YouTube. After having his bike stolen, Tanner Flakes took to Twitter to express his displeasure in a colorful way. Subsequent investigation into his YouTube postings have shown that this is not an isolated incident. Senator Flake has issued an apology and has called his son's language unacceptable.

Rick Renzi, a former US Congressman from Arizona, was found guilty of 17 felony charges in his federal corruption trial. Mr. Renzi was accused of embezzling money from his insurance brokerage firm and funneling the cash to his election campaign, and of extortion in connection with a proposed federal land exchange in an ore-rich area of Arizona. Mr. Renzi is free on bail until his sentencing hearing on August 19th.

Senator McCain unknowingly posed for a photograph with a known rebel kidnapper during his unannounced visit to Syria. Mr. McCain was shown standing next to Mohammad Nour, the chief spokesman and photographer for the Northern Storm Brigade, which is the group that is responsible for kidnapping eleven Lebanese Shiite pilgrims just over one year ago. Senator McCain's spokesman claimed ignorance and said that the man introduced himself as Anwar Ibrahim.

Kirsten Anderson, the communications director for the Republican State Senate caucus in Iowa, claims that she was fired only hours after raising concerns to her superiors about a pattern of sexual harassment in the workplace. She claims that the harassment was being done by not only staff, but by legislatures as well. Ms. Anderson said that she was given no explanation for the firing this past Friday, but Iowa GOP Senate Minority Leader Bill Dix insisted it was her "career performance" that was the reason for her terminatio...

After finishing last and only receiving 28 votes in a recent election for Dallas City Council, Richard Sheridan felt that he wasn't given a fair shot because the media didn't focus on the second place finishers sexual orientation. Mr. Sheridan left a profanity laced and threatening voice mail to a local magazine reporter that placed blame on him for losing the race.

Eric Finkbeiner, a former senior policy adviser to Governor Bob McDonnell, was arrested for assault and violating a protective order. Mr. Finkbeiner, who spearheaded the governors failed effort to privatize Virginia's ABC stores, was charged with four counts of assault and three charges of violating a protective order.

Jason Richwine, a senior policy analyst at the Heritage Foundation, wrote a doctoral dissertation back in 2009 that claimed Hispanic immigrants IQ's are lower than those of whites and that those numbers are "effectively permanent." This comes on the heels of the release of a Heritage Foundation study Mr. Richwine co-authored that asserts the cost of immigration reform will be upwards of 6.3 Trillion.

The Drudge Report is finding itself in an embarrassing situation after posting a photo of New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg eating pizza and claiming that he was denied a second piece at a restaurant. The problem is that the picture was posted on the satirical website "The Daily Currant" and was not a factual story. The Drudge Report has since removed the photo from its website.

Federal authorities began questioning people close to the McDonnells as an outgrowth of a securities probe of Virginia-based Star Scientific Inc. They said FBI agents have asked questions about gifts the McDonnells have received from company CEO Jonnie Williams and whether the Republican governor or his administration aided the company in return.

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell is being investigated by the FBI regarding his connections with a major campaign donor that is also under investigation for questionable securities transactions. The FBI is looking into a $15,000 catering bill that campaign donor Jonnie R. Williams Sr. paid at Mr. McDonnell's daughters wedding, as well as various undisclosed gifts that Mr. McDonnell's wife received from Mr. Williams.

Adam Savader, a former intern for Mitt Romney's failed Presidential bid, was arrested and charged with cyber stalking and blackmailing young women to send him nude photos of themselves. Mr. Savader is accused of obtaining nude photographs of fifteen different women and then blackmailing them into sending him more, or else he would publish the photo's.

Citizens for Free and Fair Elections, a dark money group in Colorado, is being accused of digitally removing a black female from a mailer and replacing her face with that of the white woman standing directly behind her. The mailer also completely removes a black male from the picture. The group is fighting legislation in Colorado that will allow individuals to vote my mail in ballot.

Jack Husted, who recently resigned as Arizona Game and Fish Commission chairman, has found himself the subject of multiple sexual harassment allegations. Mr. Husted is accused of inappropriate suggestive comments and giving "surprise hugs" to female employees. When asked to respond to the allegations surrounding his actions, Mr. Husted claimed that he was just "a man from rural Arizona where a handshake and a hug and the trading of a joke are part of normal human contact."

For the second day in a row, the New York Post has published a discredited story regarding the Boston Marathon Bombings. The Post published a picture of two individuals with the headline: “BAG MEN, Feds seek these two pictured at Boston Marathon.” The only problem is that the FBI stated they were not seeking those individuals and that they are not the suspects.

Brian Nieves, a Republican State Senator in Missouri, got into an interesting back and forth with a constituent that requested to be taken off the Senator's email list. He insinuated that the constituent had a crush on him and then sent another email stating that the constituent doesn't look good with a beard.

Mark Sanford found himself in a difficult position with his sons when the former Governor's girlfriend showed up to a victory rally after he won the Republican runoff election for the open seat in South Carolina's 1st District. Mr. Sandford's former wife, Jenny, confirmed that her sons were upset with their father by saying in a text message: “That was indeed Bolton’s first intro and both boys were quite upset and visibly so.”

The New York Post is taking heat one day after they published multiple inaccurate stories on the Boston Marathon bombings. The Post published and then refused to correct a death toll as high as twelve, when in fact it is currently at three. The Post also published that a Saudi man was taken into custody, when in fact he was injured in the blast and the police questioned him and decided that he was not responsible.

Debbie Brown, the Chair of the Alaska Republican Party, was removed from her post after the executive committee voted for her ouster and replaced her with retired Army Colonel Peter Goldberg. Ms. Brown has refused to accept her removal and claims that she is still the Chair, regardless of "shenanigans" by the executive committee. This is the second time this year that the Alaska GOP has had their chair removed, with fellow Tea Party ally Russ Millette was also voted out.

Al Gerhart, the co-founder of Sooner Tea Party, was charged with blackmail and violation of Oklahoma’s computer crime act after he allegedly sent a threat filled email to state Sen. Cliff Branan regarding his desire to see Mr. Branan bring up the UN Agenda 21 plan for a debate. Mr. Gerhart allegedly threatened Mr. Branan by stating he better bring up the bill for a debate "or I will make sure you regret not doing it."
